About Jennifer Gravley

Writer. Reader. Late bloomer. Watcher of bad television. 

My creative writing has been published widely in such venues as Sou'westerNorth American ReviewLaurel ReviewLa Petite Zine, and Puerto del Sol, among others. I write short fiction, essays, and poetry and am currently at work on a collection. I have an MFA from the University of Alabama, where I was a winner in the AWP Intro Journals Project in fiction and held a Teaching-Writing Fellowship, and have attended the Sewanee Writers' Conference. I was recently awarded a residency from the Ragdale Foundation.

I have presented my creative and academic work at conferences such as the North American Review Conference, the Louisville Conference on Literature & Culture since 1900, the Missouri Library Association Conference, and the College English Association Conference. I have participated in the Next Weather, Interpretations, and Hearing Voices reading series in Columbia, Missouri.

I am from the North Georgia mountains and now reside in the middle of the middle of the country with my husband and his plant.
